Pre-assign devices to sites and embed their license key for server instance connection.

This method also removes the requirement to transform the Senso installer via Orca or create and distribute an installation script by running msiexec and switch parameters with an added site and license configuration.

Pre-requisites

  1. Have access to amend Group Policies
  2. Make sure you have added the senso.cloud MSI to a Software Deployment GPO

Step 1:

Download license key in the License area in the Admin Portal  https://portal.senso.cloud/AdminCenter#Licence

Step 2:

Create a network share distribution point should one not exist, If you have a share already setup to deploy applications ignore this setup link and move to Step 3.

Create a Folder on a centralized server and give this a relevant name.

Right-click the created folder, go to advanced sharing, tick "share this folder" add a share name, click permissions, add, add the built-in "authenticated users" group and ensure the read permission checkbox is ticked.

Link the newly created GPO to the root of your domain for a single site deployment or to the relevant Organizational Unit.

*Please note the above instructions outline the steps to push the files to computer device groups, for user groups the GPO will need to be set up in the context of user configuration and linked to an organization unit contain users or the root of the domain.*

To test success open up the file destination location on a device that is targeted by the GPO , open up a command prompt and type GPupdate. The files should now appear in the destination folder.
