The macOS version of the Senso Client is being developed in stages, with new modules released over time. The first release includes the following features:
- Remote Screen
- Remote Control (Shared Control Only)
- Keyword Logging
- Live Chat
- Send Message
- Notifications
- Direct Broadcast (receive only)
- Lock Screen
Officially supported and tested macOS versions:
macOS 14 (Sonoma)
macOS 15 (Sequoia)
Additional versions will be added as testing progresses. There are two install packages for Mac OS:
Intel (x86_x64): For older Mac devices with Intel processors
Apple Silicon (ARM64): For newer Mac devices with Apple’s Silicon chips (M1, M2, M3, etc.)
To identify your Mac’s chipset, open Terminal and run the following command: uname -m
The Senso Client starts automatically when a user logs in to the system and continues running until they log out. At this time, there is no background service running at the logon screen, so remote logon and similar features are not available.
Download the Deployment Package
Log in to your Senso Portal and download the deployment package from the Downloads section of your Admin Centre. The package includes:
SensoClientInstaller.pkg – Installs the Senso Client.
SensoClient-Privacy-SIGNED.mobileconfig – Grants required privacy permissions.
README.md – Installation guide.
SHA256SUMS.txt – For file integrity verification.
mdm_license_script.txt – Script for deploying the licence key via MDM (see below).
Make sure to select the correct installer for the device’s CPU architecture.
MDM Installation (Recommended)
1. Upload SensoClientInstaller.pkg to your MDM solution (e.g., Jamf, Intune, Meraki).
2. Deploy the package to the appropriate device or user groups.
3. Upload and deploy SensoClient-Privacy-SIGNED.mobileconfig to pre-approve the required permissions for the app.
4. To deploy the licence key using MDM, use the script included in the installation package. Open mdm_license_script.txt and copy its contents into your MDM solution as a shell script to run on the selected Macs.
Before deploying, update the script with your licence key and site ID. Once pushed to the target devices, the script will configure the licence details on each Mac. You need to edit the script updating the following fields:

Licence Key: Access your licence key [here].
Site ID: Find your site assignment key [here].
5. Enter your licence key and site ID in the script, then deploy it to your target devices. This will store the licence details on each Mac at: /Library/Application Support/SensoMDMLicense/Configuration/
The file AssignmentConfiguration.json within this folder contains the information the Senso Client uses to configure its licence.
Manual Installation
1. Double‑click the correct SensoClientInstaller.pkg file and follow the onscreen prompts

2. Once the installation is complete, the Senso Client will start, the Senso icon will appear in the menu bar, and a dialog will prompt you to enter your licence key.

Licence Key: Access your licence key [here].
Site ID: Find your site assignment key [here].
Required Permissions
For the Senso Client to function correctly on macOS, the following permissions must be granted:
- Accessibility

Users will be prompted to allow these permissions the first time they log in to the Mac while the Senso Client is running.
Checking Permissions for Senso Client
1. Click the Apple icon in the menu bar.
2. Select System Settings, then Privacy & Security.
3. Verify that the following permissions are enabled:
