This module allows you to block access to specific resources, such as websites or applications, by creating a policy that can be applied and updated through the module interface.
Once applied, the set policy will appear in the Policy Tab for the selected group, with the name "Access Module Configuration”.
Module Actions: Enable or disable an access policy against a group.
Module Mode - Block Mode
Allows you to create a list of websites and/or applications to block.
When Access is applied, devices within the Group can visit all websites and use
all applications except those included in the blocked list.
You can also add specific URL paths to the Allow List to grant access to certain
pages or content, overriding the blocked list. When users attempt to visit a
blocked website or application, they will see a notification indicating that access
has been restricted.
Example:
Block List: youtube.com
Allow List: youtube.com/id_of_selected_video
Please Note: Running the module without any input will not block any
websites or applications
Module Mode - Allow Mode
This feature allows you to create a list of approved websites that devices can access. When Access is applied, devices within the Group will only be able to visit the websites on this list.
All other websites will be blocked.
Example: Allow Only List: wikipedia.com
Adding a List Item:
Resource Group - Select whether to block or allow a website/application (in Block Mode) or to allow only (in Allow Mode).
Resource Type:
Website - Available for all resource groups.
Application: Available only for block resource group
Detection Term - Enter the ‘website name’ or ‘URL’, or the ‘application name’ with its extension.
